The Hushuotu open pit coal mine is located in Khovd Province, Mongolia, about 300km away from Takshiken port, Xinjiang. The coal type is coking coal. The coal seam structure is complex, with an average reject content of more than 20%, resulting in a large number of high ash dirty miscellaneous coal in the mining process. In August 2013, the 2.4mt/a dry coal preparation plant designed and constructed by Shenzhou group was officially put into operation. The ash content of raw coal was 32.19%, and the ash content of cleaned coal was about 13%, with remarkable quality improvement effect. Since it was put into operation, the dry separation plant has become an indispensable and important part of the coal mine and is in continuous operation throughout the whole year.
